    Presume what you may.
Regardless, elected representatives are accountable to the population.
I am perfectly entitled to call upon an elected representative to account.
My agenda in this instance is anti child abuse.
Its a tragedy that you apparently oppose same.

Of course, but note I did not write 'rejection' of the Enlightenment, that is not 'Catholic'

Odd that he receives so much support on this site.
Apparently you & a few others aren't interested in his opinion on the Cardinal's failure to report heinous crimes to the Gardai.
However, the majority of posters on this thread & I are interested in the Senator's views.
Your declaration that this is a non-thread does not diminish same.

Contact him about it if you want to hear his opinion, Senator Rónán Mullen's website | Contact Us. Since he was not involved in the events in question he has nothing to account for.

No-one is saying they are not interested in Mullen's opinion, expecting to get an answer through an internet forum is not the way to go about it. What makes you think that you form a majority? Considering your self-propagation of this thread I find it unlikely.

If you're going to smear someone, at least back it up with something other than hot air, opinion, and lazy waffle.

Thats part of the problem you see.
I don't know what to believe about your crowd.
Its just one scandal after another with no end in sight.
You really would be better off doing what Archbishop Dr Martin suggests and reveal all.
As you lot say, confession is good for the soul.

    Bagel,

Just read same and noted the pejorative and loaded language, 'outspoken' is not an adjective I would use to describe the mild mannered senator, unless of course anyone who dares engage in Catholic Apologetics is 'outspoken' because they're not part of the quangoised, socio, liberal, left consensus beloved of the majority of posters around here. Also your arguments are based on non sequitors, as if someone's silence, or failure to be interviewed makes them guilty of tacit approval of Cardinal Brady's inaction and moral culpability. Your assessment of Mullen is akin to saying someone is a wife beater unless they publically deny it. Bottom line, I have found many who oppose him invariably engage in ad hominem attacks, cheap shots, and vitriol, and have very little to contribute by way of real discourse.

At this stage the politics of condemnation is but surface lip service to the victims, and because so much of it has its own political agenda its contemptible.

Acquiring information through internet forums is actually acceptable nowadays.
If you'd read all the posts you'd have discovered that the majority of posters on this thread would like to learn of the Senator's opinion of the Cardinal's position.
Whats all this nonsense about smearing?
You are quick to express an opinion and then berate me for having one.

So if you want his opinion you have to count on him reading this forum and then humoring you, or you could just contact him since you seem to be the person most anxious to know his opinion.

You were doing grand until your final sentence whereupon you apparently nailed your colours to the mast.
