You're misrepresenting the good-hearted and (especially) honest Mr. Quinn. It's not that he wants fewer investigations: He wants us to investigate ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING and then investigate his Church!

What could possibly be wrong with that?

Not at all. He quite reasonably wants us to investigate all cases of child abuse or neglect, animal cruelty, drink driving, underage smoking, dishonesty with public money, late opening, overcharging, slurry dumping, littering, jaywalking and impoliteness to old ladies that have occurred in the State since the emergency was declared over.

Only then will we be ready to deal with that bit of secrecy about clerical child abuse that may have happened outside of Dublin and Ferns during that time!

David Quinn articulates what a lot of elderly traditional mostly rural, Catholics think. They see all this as an effort to destroy the church by the media, maybe even the devil at work. They vote anti EU at every referendum, as the EU to them is the new anti Christ displacing the Brits.
You'd think Kenny committed Treason and brought in IMF. Cowen had all in stitches in Galway at 3.30a.m.but he was "not impaired" -DD Power. FF=Publican páirtí an IMF.

I'd like to think he's paranoid (he once complained about an alleged benign neglect of catholic concerns about where society is going as a form of anti-church bias in the media). Unfortunately, I don't think that's borne out by his other work.

I think that he is probably just as dishonest as Rónán (to get back on topic), and probably cleverer, though not quite as sharp tongued.

I think Mr. Bean Mullen is a bit of a smart alec. I sometimes watch Senate debates, and he always gets his dig in at someone in a smart sneering manner, preceded of course by the cupla focla. He is the last sting of the dying wasp.

That would be about the size of it, alright.
