They will be busy. They deserve it. The real scandal is the €250m per annum in professional fees.

Frankie is getting paid €170,000- he is trying to flog assets worth
    €90,000,000,000

If he succeeds with the LTEV profit of €7,000,000,000 it will be money well spent

I agree. I'm no fan of SF by any stretch of the imagination, but:

    1. Give credit where it's due
    2. Freedom/Censorship of the Press, etc.

    Is this acceptable to you?

And another point. If I got a job in an office and the workload was more than I expected, would I be entitled to a 70% pay increase? - I dont think so.

These people are not entitled to more of OUR money based on the fact they underestimated the workload.

I am not suprised this happened, but I am sickened that we as a nation will allow this happen.

    We deserve better.
Do we really? Why do a people who re-elect both Flynns, Haughy, Ahern, Lowry, Burke, et al deserve better?

Why do we deserve better when we only get an approx turnout of 50% at general elections.?

Why do we deserve better when every time we get shafted by the State and/or Church (one in the same really) we take it and do nothing?

You office job would be at a fixed number of hours - e.g. 45. The board member jobs relate to responsibility - and they've found it will take more of their time

    cYp

So if I hire someone to work for me and he finds he actually has to work his butt off I should give him a 70% increase immediatly.

Or does this only apply to 'financial gurus'?

I do something about it. I try to stay as active as possible. I don’t deserve this.

But yeah, I completely agree with you. I knew someone would pull me up on the "we deserve better" thing.

That said, we don’t know any better. The vast majority of people in Ireland don’t know the difference between the main parties let alone how the system works. "They're all as bad as one another" - "sure its better the devil ye know" mentality that has us here. And I think FF like keeping us uneducated in this regard.

It is extremely hard to educate yourself on how Irish politics works. And when one does try to, it becomes an extremely depressing revelation. The more you learn, the more you remember how nice it was to live in blissful ignorance.

And that was my Friday afternoon rant..............Have a great weekend!

Well Well...poor dears. Having responsibility. Of course they need adequate recompense. Brian Lenihan DEMANDS that nusrses and carers take an income cut while very well off characters like these get a massive increase.

This is not acceptable but above all NOT FAIR. These desparados could well afford 'to do the state some service'. Carers work 168 hours a week for 52 weeks a year for a poxy €300! Many of them did not know the work involved but cant go running to their pal for an increase.

You have no shame or any sense of moral righteousness.

Spend a week caring for a desperately ill or disabled person and then justify cutting a carers pay whilst a crowd of hoo hahs coin it.

How many meetings a year will the board members be required to attend? Once a month maybe?

While increase their pay when they are already working for less? Have they threatened to leave if not paid more?

So the salary for the chairman goes up 70% and the loans in the portfolio go down by 70%. Just a day in the life of this corrupt sh1thole.
