Google streetview - 18% of Ireland now live

only in the north and there isn't 100% coverage as you can see in this pic

I would have thought with google being in Ireland that we'd have been one of the first countries to be done but it seem we will be one of the last.

The part of Ireland that they have just put up is of course part of Google's "UK"
    roll out.

you can only see what's on the blue parts and not the white roads.

Amazing to think they actually chose to do the six counties before Dublin.

looks like there's a distinct break at the border - is there a legal problem with street view in the south?

    Google Maps

move the orange man in the top left hand corner over an area you want to see, any area that turns blue is streetview.

Streetview is fantastic to use. I traced a relative who emigrated to the US some time ago and could literally see what the outside of the house he lived in looked like, see the Churchyard he is buried in, and get a great view of the place. It was errie seeing the street he lived on, the shops he shopped in, the view he would have seen daily of his street, travelled down the route he would have taken down to the church at the end of the street, etc.
