You do get the odd anti-immigrant loola popping up in elections. They only ever get a few hundred votes - if even that.

I mean there's no party to vote for. Anyway I said immigration restrictionism, not anti-immigrant. I don't expect emotional appeals against immigrants themselves - especially made by isolated individuals - to garner many votes.

Just like if you oppose the compulsory serving of asparagus at breakfast - its a right bummer.

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

You also have to remember that in other electoral systems, there is far less choice and sometimes very right wing parties can benefit a protest vote. The PR-STV system may have its flaws, but it does offer voters a lot of genuine choice.

If you just have Conservative vs Socialist as the only two options you can end up with voters voting for loopy alternatives aiming to throw a spanner in the works express their general anger with the establishment or perceived lack of choice.

I think politics here, flaws and warts that it may have, is a lot more subtly sophisticated than politics in 2-party first past the post or list systems.

and what is it about right wing parties requiring "charismatic" individuals? is it that they depend on these indiviuduals to hide the scum & dolts of the party & membership?

e.g. UKIP is still portrayed as being led by its ex leader. nobody knows the current leader is.

PVV form around Wilders and his ego.

    etc
Well, I might be tempted if you would first clarify your beliefs instead of hiding them in a load of auld leftist waffle. On another thread you repeatedly refused to state whether or not you believe that Ireland has a right to impose immigration controls on economic migrants. The question remains unanswered.

In Britain, they are becoming more racially aware, and hence smarter, than Ireland!

Resentment didn't get a capital R. Is that significant?

Indeed the blame for mass immigration lies firmly and squarely with FF and their cronies in ibec.
