    What a great article.

    Our Stalingrad

See towards the end the term " master loan repurchase agreement" €10 billion from Irish Central Bank !!!

<Mod> This thread merged with "Anglo owes €10 billion to Central Bank" </Mod>

    NAMA/ANGLO. Is it Ireland's Stalingrad?

Or more properly, Fianna Fail's Stalingrad. Even in the face of inevitable defeat, why are our masters hell-bent on plunging us into this disaster/fiasco. Is it bullheadedness, corruption or just good old old-fashioned stupidity?

P.S. I don't know whether David is aware of this or not, but after Paulus (the "von" was a sham) surrendered, he eventually defected to the Russians and ended his days in a nice comfy apartment in East Berlin in the early seventies (John Bruton, anyone?)

    I don't think it's apt at all

stupid, misguided, uninformed, pig-headed, ignorant, financially illiterate...they're more apt in my opinion
