wow... now the greens come out and say:

Environment Minister John Gormley says he wants to keep his job.

It follows speculation about the forthcoming Cabinet reshuffle and reports of a deal which would see Minister John Gormley relinquish his cabinet position in favour of Dublin TD Ciaran Cuffe.

Fine Gael has also accused the Minister of trying to leave his Department because of his failure to stop the the controversial Poolbeg Incinerator in Dublin.

It'll be interesting to see Cuffe's reaction to Gormley's reneging on their agreement. He faces a very difficult fight in DLR (4 seater next time out, 3 Govt TD's, although the sight of Andrews being eviscerated by Catherine Ghent on PrimeTime last night might help CC). Will he throw a wobbly to increase his profle?

Will TV3 and Ursala Halligan now acquire and publish the signed agreement “they claim they know where a copy of it is” I wonder and prove that gombeenism is alive and well. C Cuffe or M White are going to be shafted, I wonder which of them it will be ?
