If you're suggesting that FF should instruct him to resign his seat - no, I would prefer to see the matter decided by the electorate. If you are suggesting that he has low standards associated with his membership of FF I'll be happy to discuss the situation of Lowry and FG with you

Like I said, that's democracy - you don't always get what you wish for.

That's all very well Sailor, but it's not a very sane argument.

It would be like Adolf Hitler saying "Well I know I've acted the maggot, but look at Stalin, He's worse!"

Come to think of it, Hitler actually to do just that!

I think he should be expelled from FF.

    As Lowery was from FG.

It's called standards in political parties.

lowry is now supporting the present gov
the present government are happy to accept his support
but this tread is about wee willie

ff can not make him resign his seat
but they will support him in the next electionhe

made a statement to a paper,
an explosive story was reported in the same paper a few days later
a good man for funerals would read the local papers
surely the reported story came to his attention
he forgot ?, ( its not plausable )

if the tape had not emerged, he would still deny it
hes a lawyer , he told fibs, he would have let the reporter swing

    €1,750 officially.

We need a tribunal that allows us investigate all Ministers personal accounts.

We could base it on what was discovered when Bertie`s accounts were checked

Katy - if the Moriarty report goes against Lowry, he could have our asses out the window for so much that we'll stop talking about NAMA. Willy misbehaved and I'm certainly not defending him but the government has dismissed him and his other position is as an elected representative in Limerick - and the people to decide if he should continue in that role are the voters of Limerick East. And the Hitler/Stalin analogy - I mean Willy and Trevor are no angels but is that not a bit much?

Didn't say that - do you think it was Lowry's membership of FG that led him astray or that it was Sargent's membership of the Greens that caused him to interfere in a legal matter?
