Willie O'Dea still playing the public for fools

A typical self serving, pity poor Willie piece in todays Sindo in which he asks......

"You feel that people are looking at you and nodding to one another as you pass. And, of course, some of them have stopped me for a chat. They have been invariably polite and kind, but the recurring question seems to be: "Willie, what exactly was it that you are supposed to have done?"

Well, let me answer that one for you Willie.

    You were accused of
    1. Slandering a political opponent
    2. Swearing a false affidavit to the High Court
    3. Giving an arrogan, agressive performance in the following Dail debate

And of course Willie O'Dea accepts absolutely no personal responsibility

"The fact that the story did not start and end with me only adds to the misunderstanding"

Oh, Willie, Willie, still at the denial stage

    I don't want sympathy but I've been getting a lot of it - Analysis, Opinion - Independent.ie

That Dail performance will come back to haunt Willie.

His attitude seemed to be: so what if I did a few things: but those people did a lot worse!

Willie is supposed to be a barrister. Can you imagine if you were up in front of the beaks and Willie was representing you and he came out with a defence like that?

You'd end up in jail (and possibly Willie as well).

Master O'Dea is an incorrgible tosser I'm afraid.

You should have read the Limerick Post this week, it starts with concern for his mother!

"Elements of the media don’t like me...I did become disillusioned that the criticism became so savage. It’s like they want to blacken your character and still keep kicking you - it’s extraordinary"

Blackening someone's character is awful, amazingly he didn't have a problem with it when talking about Maurice Quinlavin last year!
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

The Sindo should be boycotted for giving a platform to this thundering boll!x. They've lapsed into self-parody recently with the FF arse-licking

I felt like I was reading Pravda when I saw Willie O'Dea's column in the paper this morning. Talk about feeling sorry for himself! The massive changes in his life, such as losing his state car. Boo hoo...welcome back to the real world Willie.

I believe that was the first bit of gossip that Willie ever spread. It is amazing that he was taped doing it.

But is any of this surprising?
Bollocks of the year award and still playing the victim.

    Fianna Fails "smart economy"?? Jesus!

Willie probably thought the tape recorder was a snuff box when the reporter waved it under his nose!

Ah I think anyone with any degree of compassion would have to feel sorry for him now.

    On regeneration he asks:

The big question is, is the money there?
Very simple Willie, No, you and your incompetent colleagues wasted it.

You wasted it on frippery like this:

my two garda drivers have now gone back to the garda pool; my six constituency secretaries and my private secretary are still in the civil service but no longer available to me, and I will now concentrate on running my constituency office with just my constituency secretary.
