I will be obsessed with Willie O'Dea until the day he leaves politics for good.

Leaving aside the High Court false evidence business, he deserves to be hounded from office for what he has allowed to happen to Limerick on his watch. While he spend day & night attending funerals and walking the streets of Limerick shaking hands, the further Limerick disappeared down the plug hole.

And if it was not for a few other obsessed posters here on p.ie Willie O'Dea would still be warming his arse in the Department of Defence.

    Enjoy

Good that someone keeps an eye on Willy, he may be have been the chief whip waffler but he covered the job like a true FF politician . It dose not matter what party you support because the system caters for the Willies (we have more than one waffler) and unless indivudals like ourselves take personal responsibility for supporting these people then Willy and the many like him will continue to thrive. To my mind FF is a chosen dictatorship, it is chosen as a party by those people who believe in party loyalty & will act in self-interest or party-interest before all else. Vote at your own peril!!!

Its very true that certain posters here kept the issue alive they are due credit for doing so when it did not seem possible that it would bring O Dea down, O Dea himself gave the issue a boost when he brought Regans brother into it, F,G had no alternative but to raise it in the Dail then, Mr Qinlivin did a good deed for democracy in taking the minister on to clear his name,. The Dail debate on complete confidence in Willie will never be forgotten for the arrogance shown by the front bench to the electorate,

Now you are misrepresenting what I said.

I'm glad Willie is gone. It was mortifying that he hung on for so long after the news broke, he should have been flung out immediately.

Find me one post where I wanted to change things?

And I appreciate that the other poster was skating on thin ice when he went into what Willie said. But he did not say what you accused him of saying with his second accusation. You said the poster accused Quinlivan's brother of being involved in a murder when what he actually said was that Quinlivan had links with those who perpetrated the crime, which is different. You may say 'weasel words' but when you are throwing out threats of libel writs of course the words are everything.

When journoes or hacks are talking about WoD they nearly always state that he was a great constituency TD. Given the number of full time civil servants he had at his disposal it would have been impossible not to have been a good constituency TD.

Another WoD myth bites the dust.

The very issue you speak about is what started the whole issue, Quinlivan stated publicly to the same journalist WOD's methods were based on 6 civil servants running around doing the work of councillors to garner votes for himself, WOD retaliated .....

Willie would do well with a part in a Limerick soap version of Fair City!
