Well, I'm intrigued as to why you would have kept one of the greatest trapeze artists of modern times off your list, one of da Nortsoides most accomplished purloiners, none other than the Great Rambo and I'm just not going to mention 'one with an insatiable appetite for cash' (remember the taxi driver : "there's only one L--- L-----").
Oh, what short memories some of ye have when it suits ye !

In the Irish Pantheon of Rogues, some of these would have honoured places and must never be overlooked.

"I feel most sorry for Suzanne Coogan, who was most skilful in looking after my media relations and Derek Mooney, my personal assistant, who have become unemployed as a result of my decision to resign. I owe them both a great debt of gratitude."

Did Suzanne Coogan and/or Derek Mooney advise him to go on the RTE News at One with Sean O'Rourke, I wonder? Because that was what finally sunk him - any TD with an IQ above the melting temperature of ice would have had the cop-on to lie low - but not Wyllie D Quixote the Thomond Warrior - a man who can't see a camera or a microphone without getting a hard-on.

    Just us.

    A chara,

The problem in Ireland is like the post-colonial blues. Or if you will the post colonial reactionary blues. We do not see that new imperialism from our own rulers is just as bad as that perpetrated by the former conquerors.

I have been fighting the DOD and the Army for over 40 years to clear my name - to no avail. There is one law for the rich and one for the poor in Irleand - same as it ever was.

I begged ex-minister O'Dea to implement a 2005 High Court ruling in my favour 2005. I needed fair procedures to get justice, but am denied me. The personality cult politics of FF is shameful but they know no shame only power and how to hold onto it. They would not understand justice or fairness if it bit them in the arse. le meas, D

Yeh, the play for sympathy by St Willie over the 2 loyal employees that are now to be unemployed.

Yet no mention of the 500 unemployed SRT workers who had their job applications with Ryanair turned down by Mary Coughlan.

Don't want to seem smart or glib, but not sure I follow that line. How is a High Court order not implemented in 5 years? Have you not tried enforcement proceedings?

Was that the story about the one about the airline owner who wanted to build his hangar on cloud 9? Build me a hangar beside a pie in the sky please, and I'll give you jobs and pay you with magic beans.

Its been a crazy few weks on planet O'Leary. Between trying to set aside leases and fellows eating scratchcards. Great publicity, as ever. Meanwhile, on planet earth, we have to continue as normal I guess.

Go help us if what Fianna Fail are doing to this country can be classed as "normal".

Hang on, I retract that. This is normal for Fianna Fail.

The journey from Limerick to Dublin without a garda driver and Merc must be too much for poor Willie.

O'Dea granted 'compassionate leave' from Dail

FORMER Defence Minister Willie O'Dea has been given "time out" from Dail votes to sort out his affairs in the aftermath of his controversial resignation.

Since bowing out of the Department of Defence on February 18, Mr O'Dea has appeared in the Dail on only one day to cast his vote with Government colleagues.

Despite the Government's ever-decreasing majority, the former minister is understood to have an understanding with the chief whip's office to miss votes. But sources have insisted Mr O'Dea is not missing from Dail votes on a "point of principle".

Instead, he is said to be on something akin to "compassionate leave".

Couldn't believe that when I saw it. I wonder if a pairing arrangement has been agreed with the opp parties? If so, they should explain why they agreed to it.

The numbers on the govt side are very tight. I didn't think FF had the luxury to accommodate a sulk.

Today's Irish Independent article neglected to mention Willie's 100,000 euro when they talked about his salary.

I wonder is this just Willie trying to take a low profile until the Garda investigation is complete?
