Expect some non-entity to be promoted to replace O'Dea.
On Drivetime it was mentioned by Fionna Sheehan ( I think ) that Conor Lenihan has been mentioned.

Seriously how do these gombeens Govern a country full of gombeens

I can't stand that clown sheehan. One of the worst political commentators ever. Mind you, I think he is in cahoots with his fellow biffo, so I wouldn't be suprised if he was given the scoop in return for past and future favours.

According to Newstalk 106 Cris Andrews or Barry Andrews to replace Willie O Dea , no word of reshuffle

If Cowen does the minimum - either Pat Carey or Barry Andrews to replace O'Dea - is that an opportunity missed ?

Yes, he should have planned to ditch O'Dea and get the reshuffle over with. But he probably didn't plan. Fail to plan... plan to fail.

Shay Brennan to the Seanad, and some Green hanger-on also to the Seanad. Dan Boyle to the Dail as special Minister for shadowing Lenny and taking over Finance when Lenny steps down. The Greens will want a token to say they "won" out of this.

The reject can't take over finance, that ministry is reserved for TDs

Actually promoting Dan Boyle to MOS would be a good idea - as it would reduce his outspokenness - though MOF can't come from the Seanad
