National All Party Government Would just be an easier way of FF spreading the blame around.
    Spot on, excellent post.

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

In what amounts to a startling wake-up call to all politicians, a majority of declared supporters of each of the main parties believe such a government is now necessary.

A national govt. is an excuse to keep FF in power and that is very attractive to all the vested interests, especially O'Reilly.

I agree wholeheartedly. A national unity government is just another term for dictatorship. Fianna Fail know they are lost at the next election so are desperate to find some way of clinging on to power so here is their PR Department aka The Sunday Indpendent desperately spinning for some way of achieving it. The question is why so desperate this time round? Personally I believe they are terrified of what other parties will discover about what has been going on behind the scenes.

National Government = FF/LP coalition with an FG mudguard.

Indeed, at times of crisis, this is the way to go. Look at the progress Germany made under such a government.
