If the majority of male Americans are circumcised that means nothing.

Ironic that we grant asylum to women who fear female circumcision in their home countries but it's ok to do it to baby boys here.

That's ridiculous, there's no such stipulation in Islam and it's clearly an attempt by liberals to reinvent an Islam that is palatable to them.

So is this quote from the article false?

Although Islam allows a man to marry up to four wives, he can only do so if his first wife is infertile, or if he marries women who are considered social outcasts. It is not, as many believe, meant to be for the sexual gratification of men.
And what is wrong with reinventing Islam? All religions change over the years even when every possible barrier is placed in front of them. Also the interpretation of Islam varies so much from say Saudi to Turkey that no one can claim to have a monopoly on it's interpretation.

It is a deliberate misrepresentation and no one has the right to reinvent Islam. It is perfect as it stands and doesn't need the distortions that men brought to Judaism and Christianity.

Its probably cheaper to support one partner with their two spouses living together

Its probably cheaper to support one partner with their two spouses living together, than a couple living together as well as a former spouse living apart.

We need a quota system for asylum seekers of the order of 50 applicants per year.

If they have 4 partners so be it whether that is a family of 5 lesbians or indeed one Muslim woman with her four husbands

So explain the different interpretations in different Islamic countries.

It isn't an issue of interpretation, it's the degree of application.

Or as perfect as a caravan raiding pedophile could make it. Ahh, the blessed 'prophet' (MHBIH).

We're not discussing your family history Cato, less of the public self-flagellation please.

I'm not the one who lives by the word of a man who consummated his 'marriage' to a 9 year old.

I thought the Christians were bad but you can take your warped morality elsewhere.
