Revenue Go-Slow Workers Penalising Private Sector PAYE Workers

I've had the misfortune of having to ring Revenue today for a friend as she's not sure of the Irish system of tax.

I've been cut off three times and (mis)/re-directed twice. I haven't been able to tell anyone her particular query before being cut-off. I queue for 5-6 minutes before getting to speak with someone before being cut-off.

Where are those threads re Public v Private !? I wouldn't really mind but its the self-employed case-workers who you would think would be on a 'go-slow' rather than those helping other employees.

**Post-script - someone else tells me they were'nt on a go-slow today, at all. **

If you think about it, industrial action is a waste of time unless it hurts someone. In the Public Service it will always hit the public.

That is the normal service pre & post benchmarking.

If you want a query answered CALL IN to your local office.

U could always google your query

Post-post-script - I've since the first post been dealing with a few others in the Revenue who have been very helpful.
