Cowen gives 10 million to Irish flood victims, 700 million to Oversea Aid.

    Charity dosent begin at home.

Whilst many Irish families have had their lives ruined, Our wonderful leader Brian Cowen pledges a pathetic 10 million to help them overcome the misery of flooding.

Of course this comes with strings, people must contact their welfare officer and be means tested. (What happens if their documents have floated away with the water?).

Cowen also informs us that Ireland must go begging to the EU to see if they can receive a top up to increase the funds they have provided to the Irish people and give them some sort of Christmas.

At the same time Cowen continues to provide Millions to Oversea Aid. Nearly 700 Million Euro is set to leave Irish shores this year and head off to Africa.

Its amazing that a country as bankrupt as Ireland can continue to hand over Millions to Overseas Aid budgets, and yet have to beg the Europeans for a bailout to help the Irish.

Cowen and the Irish government clearly dont give a FU*K about the Irish.

I think its a great idea to transfer some of the foreign aid money to this worthy cause.

People are not dying in the flood, they are in the countries to which we give aid.
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

And do you actually believe that any significant proportion of the overseas aid we give gets to those people who are actually dying?????

Weak politicans are afraid to upset the save the world brigade, we have the weakest politicans you could find, QED they'd rather see their own people suffer than be ridiculed by the right on media.

All peanuts compared to the billions being poured into dodgy banks.

Memo to Cork: remember to stress to government that we are taking about the BANKS of my own lovely Lee. That should up the ante by a factor of thousands, if not millions.

Ireland, the first country in the world to introduce the smoking ban, and means test citizen emergency funding.

10 million euro would'nt unblock the toilets in the Cork Co Council buildings.
