Good news from the frozen prairies

The great state of North Dakota has basically told Bono to go to hell.
Hopefully the start of a trend.
I'm already looking at North Dakota for my summer holiday!

Interesting that they refused to honour him on the grounds that he has no connection to the state.
Given his Dutch tax status now, perhaps we should ask for the freedom of Dublin back on similar grounds?

Thanks god, some people finally have stood up to this patronising and moralising self proclaimed pope of Bono.

By the way, I liked the country side in the movie Fargo. Makes a great holiday destination.

Bono is such a bad musician. U2 are the reat of the band; he is just some guy making money from the middle classes who reckon themselves to be modern and cool.
He is personally very wealthy, and probobly owns shares in some of those many companies that are making money in war or making money from the kind of protectivist economis he claims he is all against.

Its all well and good to SAY you are against poverty; but the cure is worse than the illness.

When they come after the CAP and your workers rights; you'll all see what I mean.
