Where is the answer to Police complaint, Willie himself said they had an informal discussion with him, he should be dragged in front of Judge Cooke and forced to explain why he swore a false Affidavit thereon suffer the legal consequences, his resignation is not enough, not fit to sit in Dail.
Its worth a try after Bertie is doing all right since his interview with Brian Dobson

Man jailed for a year for perjury

    From the Irish Times today:-

Jailed for a year over perjury - The Irish Times - Tue, May 11, 2010

A man made a statement to Gardaí. When he was called to give evidence he said he had no evidence to give. He was jailed for a year.

No, I expected nothing better from Willie he just was not fit for high office, What was the real disgrace was the the behaviour and low standards of the minister of justice. Not to mention the speech that Brian Lenihan gave when he voted complete confidence in Willie. We deserve better, those guys are not fit for office. Voting confidence in a man who used an untrue smear to damage a Sinn Fein opponent in an election is just not acceptable

Why would you be surprised by that. Only last week they voted that elections were harmful to the prospects of economic recovery. Mugabe would have been blushing

According to the article "Defence Minister Willie O'Dea mislead the High Court by denying that he was behind a political smear campaign"

The article continues "Mr O'Dea, a trained barrister, last night sensationally admitted that the evidence he gave in a sworn affidavit was untrue. He has been forced to admit to the court that his sworn statement was wrong and he DID make serious unfounded allegations against a political rival in Limerick"

In my opinion the Mail on Sunday have been too Kind to O'Dea in the headlines. They should have run with a headline of "Minister caught lying to High Court"

According to the article "His story changed after tape of what he'd said emerged"

I have scanned the relevant pages on the links below.

What he did was a criminal act. He must face the courts for what he did.
