Bertie 'lied' in his book re FF Presidential Nomination vote: Mary O'Rourke

Apparantly Mary O'Rourke is going to say tonight on The Week In Politics that Bertie Ahern 'lied' (although she most likely will not put it in such stark terms) in his autobiography regarding not pushing the cabinet to vote Mary McAleese over Albert Reynolds for the FF Presidential nomination. O'Rourke apparantly says that Bertie left the cabinet in no doubt as to who he wanted to see win the nomination although he did not say it absolutely directly what way he wanted them to vote, using some of his trademark mangled English, she says that no one around the cabinet table was left in any doubt but that Bertie expected them to push for McAleese.

The biggest liar ever to live, telling lies, should not be news.

Ahern also asked for Adams to push republicans to vote for her, which he duly did.

Where do we make the complaint? Will the Gardaí have to take her in for questioning?

Looks like Mary is showing some of nephew Brian Jnrs ruthlessness. She knows Bertie is a liability to FF and wants to put distance between him and the party.
Also Brian Jnr can't be happy about the state of the country Bertie left.
