Apparantly Mary O'Rourke is going to say tonight on The Week In Politics that Bertie Ahern 'lied' (although she most likely will not put it in such stark terms) in his autobiography regarding not pushing the cabinet to vote Mary McAleese over Albert Reynolds for the FF Presidential nomination. O'Rourke apparantly says that Bertie left the cabinet in no doubt as to who he wanted to see win the nomination although he did not say it absolutely directly what way he wanted them to vote, using some of his trademark mangled English, she says that no one around the cabinet table was left in any doubt but that Bertie expected them to push for McAleese.
