Did you know that the word Gullible is not in the dictionary?

New to the forum so here is my first rant. Posted it as a reply to another thread but meant it to be a post.

When I hear the media broadcasting clips of people supporting JOD it makes me feel ill. Today people are talking about Bertie for President. It is true when it is said that people get the politicians that they deserve. Half of Ireland thought they were voting for the Lesbian treaty last week.

RTE propaganda machine running overtime 24/7 and the sheep keep lapping it up. God help us all.

If Fred West was in FF and was asked to step down because something strange was found in his basement some backward yokel would say "Sure fair play to him".

Just listen to some of the clips from Bertie's speech from the launch of his book! at least he might qualify for tax free status seeing that it is a total work of fiction. It takes no skill to agree to everything you are asked for. To neglect the vulnerable in society and to squander the fruits of all of our hard work.

In any other country these people would be in prison. Ireland sent Charley off to fan fare and I am sure Bertie will be the same. JOD will be re-elected and still thinks he did nothing wrong.

We cannot rely on these people to police themselves. The cute hur mentality needs to be condemned and not congratulated. These people are telling you its raining and pissing down your back.

Wake up people what we need is dignity, standards, integrity and competence.

Wasn't it Churchill who said that Democracy was the worst system of government, apart from all the others?

    Give poor old Fred West a break. OK I admit he was a kidnapper , a rapist , a child molester , a practicer of arts prohibited , a murderer , a voyeur , an English man ( for Merle's benefit ) , a cruel sadist , a sodomite , a sheep shagging man etc.

But , hell , he was never in Fianna Fail.

You say you're new to the forum. If you had been here a bit longer you might have seen that people have been saying the exact same stuff as you for years now. It's hardly new or exciting

I don't see how that's the Taoiseach's responsibility. There are charities like St. Vincent de Paul that you can give your money to.

There seems to be a Bertie for every generation. The last got Haughey, and god help the poor hoors coming after us. I don't think that the majority of people will ever well and truely wake up to the reality of irish politics, except when it's far too late and even then the damage control spin always seems to be fairly effective.
I bet JOD will be elected in the next general election and I bet FF will still be in power after it.

You are right of course. Maybe I should have looked for some obscure topic? Maybe I should scour the forum since day one in the hope I can find a topic that nobody has brought up?

What about the cost of incontinence pants?

Even Pat Kenny with his €950k gigantic brain revisits the same topic more than once my friend.

Good attitude Peoples. There's nothing new under the sun. I notice that new members often get it in the neck when they have the audacity to start a thread. See it as an initiation rite.
