Deputy Jackie Healy Rae claims he does not have a free travel pass
This is very slack of Deputy Healy-Rae, he could claim free travel from Kerry to Dublin each week, if he only applied for his free travel pass. Deputy Healy- Rae is now 78, he has missed out on his free travel pass for the past few years. Maybe John O' Donoghue could help him with his application for a free travel pass!South Kerry Independent TD Jackie Healy Rae claims he does not have a travel pass. This is despite the fact that Deputy Healy Rae is entitled to apply for a free pass for public transport as he is over the age of 66. According to the Department of Social Welfare, everyone aged 66 and over living permanently in Ireland, is entitled to the free travel scheme. Deputy Healy Rae travels to Dublin on average once a week while the Dáil sits, incurring a fee of up to 72 euro per return train journey. Deputy Healy Rae is then entitled to claim expenses for these journeys.
