State bullies weak yet it panders to the powerful

I have just read this article from Fintan O'Toole and thought it was absolutely brilliant. I really does show how there is one rule for us and another for them.

If Fintan did not have a blind spot when it comes to matters EU, he would see that this is exactly the principle behind the government decision to hold a second Lisbon campaign.

In each case the Minister was probably acting on legal advise and that is a problem with our political system. By electing people without any real ability or vision we get office-holders who are afraid to make a decision or have no sense of what a principled decision might look like.

We elect them on the basis of their ability to do constituency work and that's their skill-set. So when something big comes up they cover themselves by deferring to legal advice or senior civil servants.

For this we make millionaires out of them. We have to fix our political system. It's destroying this country.

What ability have they? Most of them are utterly useless. Biffo, Harney, Coughlan, O'Dea, O'Donoghue and O'Cuiv are six of the most useless, talentless, visionless and arrogant individuals ever to darken the door of Dail Eireann. Of course they defer to someone else because they themselves are unemployable fuctards. Glorified gofors is all most of them are, scribbling down "problems" on beermats in the clinics and spreading this crap like slurry on the unfortunate constituency staff on Tuesday mornings. Risible.

Rody Molloy probably has damaging information on people like Coughlan or even Cowan.

    Hence the pay off.

As for the Magdalene Laundrys, its almost a definite in my mind that these werent just places to dump women who had their children stolen from them, by some accounts, it would appear they were being used by powerful individuals within Irish society as more or less state run brothels, no different to those used by human slavers today.

Who knows how many powerful figures of recent Irish history are implicated in this filthty mire? It could literally be anyone who was in the Dail, on a commitee or at Cabinet because whats clear is that what was going on in the institutions and laundries was known about and not particularly cared about. You can add the civil service, medical profession, Gardai to the list. In fact, pretty much anyone in any position of power in this country was in some way culpable for the heinous treatment of innocents either directly or indirectly.
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.
