    Here's one from the past:

DeValera's use of our money to take over the Irish Press as his personal property.

Guys...lets keep the list related to people/organisations which are alive or current. Otherwise we'd need to use Microsofts new data hosting facility to store all the old scandals of Dev/CJH/PArtition/phone tapping etc..!

I'm trying to cut and paste each entry into the 1st message so new posters can see the list, and hopefully it will reduce duplication.

I will try to put some kind of order on it later in the weekend. Im too busy just now!

    ALL contributions welcomed and thanks!

    Take care.

Love the one about state funding of private schools.....we're trying to get rid of schools because they are too good ....... and privatise hospitals because they are not good enough.

Both depend on big presumption....that those changes will have the affect.

We're trying to introduce UK Council Tax based system because they say it is not fair....and in the UK they want the Irish Transaction based system because they are saying it is not fair.

Would be better to deal with the problems of Public Hospitals in a public context and Public schools in a public context. Fix the problem, not the solution.

Who's we? It's not the government.

...And I wouldn't dream of trying to get rid of private schools. I would simply remove all state subsidy for the continuation of oligarchies.
