When I was at college I noticed that some of the cleverest women would sometimes cop off with a grotesque lager lout/bit of rough. Most of the other guys were so desperate not to seem sexist the girls couldn't 'read ' them. And vice versa - they'd forgotten how to flirt.Things have improved a lot methinks, with women far more confident, in a positive way

Btw 'berid'.I like it,is it Middle English?

Interesting bit in the Times yesterday about academics having to go to lengths to

I think this issue does belong in the ''culture section'' of a ploitical forum like this.
And I was most interested that Anna Arrowsmith, who works under the pseudonym Anna Span and will represent the Liberal Democrats at the next election.

Lib Dem candidate Anna Arrowsmith aims to go from porn to Parliament - Times Online

She has said that her kind of pornography is done in a way that appeals to women.

So I looked up her website - and it looks rather interesting ..... but, it still looks like porn to me.
Check it out yourself. Google Anna Span.

A simple nip check often suffices. Indoors, for more reliable indication.

    Simples.

l will take a look at some point BUT the reason its in C+C would be simple enough, our definition of porn/gender/sex is a moveable feast. l am reading the DCU conference notes again and think the title address (linked here and ^ worth repition) = isn't it ironic that a cultural conference on these issues occurs at such a time ? and the church through its overtly censorious historical stance STILL manages to dominate discourse !!!

Good piece, but sexuality is very frankly addressed our culture;just not in English. Why is that I wonder - can't we do it when the neighbours ,England, are looking? My mother learnt the first verse of Merriman's 'The Midnight Court' as Gaeilge, but not the rest and now I know why!
