Kerry v Cork: Who will win?

Well you all know who I think will win.

Given my predictions that Kerry were going to beat Armagh substantially 8) in the 1/4 final, do people agree with me that Kerry should see Cork off comfortably. Or were Armagh not as good as everyone said they were and will Kerry play as well against Cork as they did in the second half against Armagh.

You would have to fancy Kerry but they might not win as easily as some people (Kerrygold ) might think. Indeed I am tempted to place a bet on Cork with a five point handicap.

Cork's win over Kerry in the Munster final has to count for something although Kerry were vastly improved on those performances against Armagh. It will be interesting to see if Cork do keep Kavanagh on Donaghy. He actually did well on him at midfield in the first game.

Prediction: Kerry by 5 points or less. Mayo to beat Laois. Dublin to beat Mayo. Dublin to beat Kerry.

You heard it here first ......

Kerry usually beat Cork when it counts. So I'll say Kerry. Kiss of death, here we come.
That's complete nonsense. I disagree with you.

If the kerry team take the attitude that you have into the match against Cork, then they may be disappointed. Let's get some perspective here. Kerry played very well in the second half against Armagh, but played like an intoxicate Junior D team in all their other games. All bias aside, Kerry were so bad against Cork in the first game that we should have beaten them off the pitch. Unfortunately we didn't and they limped to a replay where we turned them over nicely. To think that one inspired 35 minutes of football is more representative than the previous 3 games is extremely arrogant. Kerry are a more talented team then Cork and should win, but they have been so below par this season that this should not be seen as inevitable.
Cork have not played within themselves by any means this season and are only an okay team. I don't think we are capable, this year at least, of playing any better than we did against Kerry in the Munster Final, however Kerry's abysmal performances in the Munster should not be forgotten. Kerry will not play as well against Cork as they did against Armagh, because they won't have to. If they play anywhere near, they should scrape through by two or three points, however if they go back to their usual lethargic selves (this season I mean), Cork have every chance of finishing them off. I may be biased as a Cork man, but it would be bad for GAA for kerry to get to the final after playing so badly throughout the championship. As mediocre as Cork are, their play would be more deserving of a final appearance than kerry and hopefully that will happen.

However, I must say that the standard of the championship this year has been deeply disappointing. Tyrone were a joke, Armagh fell asleep against kerry, who themselves have been imploding. Cork have been scraping by, Connacht Football has been virtually invisible; the only possible shining light is Dublin, who should, if true to form have a cakewalk to lifting Sam. It would be nice to see Cork in a second final though.

Maybe it can be considered more representative on the basis that they're generally considered a more talented team?
