If they had any sense they would be going to watch the Hammers play.
I know this - the market already looks after itself for the Irish as I said. But there are about 2 billion in Asia yet to buy in. I agree on hammers also.

Vey true; but when i refer to quality differential i mean the league moreso than the team. Supporting Longford in the Championship is still supporting and being involved and seeing the best quality GAA in the world....!

But supporting LoI, no matter who you support, you will never be supporting the game at its best.

I disagree completely. Are you really saying the rules do not matter?
Are you seriously saying that football can turn in to volleyball when things get serious?

I remember Robbie Fowler against Arsenal displaying sportsmanship ( fell over in the box and immediately signaled to ref - no peno - at highbury ). I hoped it would catch on but sadly no.

I think Maradonna has committed the footballing "sin" over and over since the event in saying he would do the same again. It is his choice and ( imho ) it will cause Argentina to implode in 11 months time - hopefully against England before England are knocked out also.

Maybe you haven't seen football recently. You manage to bring up 1 example that I dont remember but i'll take your word on it. I'm guessing Robbies manager at the time told him to never do it again. It's part and parcel of the game.
Of course rules matter. Winning matters more.

I play rugby and hurling so shall i start supporting the Springboks because they are the best in the world or the all the blacks because they are better to watch? Shall i watch kilkenny cause Cork are not up to it ?

You are joking right? What you say is illogical to my mind.

The "winning matters more" attitude needs to be left to the drug wars between the "barons" who are happy to slaughter each other.

Victory and defeat are "twin imposters" as per R.K.

"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;"

    'If', by Rudyard Kipling

    Anyway. That's my opinion. I agree with R.K. 100%.

This is not because of some narrow minded nationalism, or bitterness about 1916, but annoyance of the events in 1966.
Do you generallly/occasionally manage to wipe your own arsehole or do you normally require assistance?

All very noble sentiments. Try telling it to professional football players and managers.
First because of a handball incident you start refering to volleyball and now it somehow compares to drug wars! Wise up.

Also soccer is played on a football pitch and not in a book.
