Upgrading from Nurse to Doctor

I did consider using the word 'downgrade,' TBH!

He has been a nurse for the year and seems to be genuinely incredulous at the technical competence and social incompetence of young Medical grads especially. His motivation is that 'I could do that better'!

My father is a retired doctor, he cannot get over the fact that the local Doctors will no longer even stitch a patient. They will tell them to go to the local hospital.
