NASA astronaut wants to carry relic of St Therese of Lisieux into space

Is St Therese of Lisieux about to become the most travelled saint in history?

Rome, Italy, Jun 25, 2009 / 11:57 am (CNA).- U.S. astronaut Ronald Garan, who brought a relic of St. Therese of Lisieux with him on the Discovery space shuttle during his last trip to space, attended Pope Benedict XVI’s Wednesday audience this week and was greeted by the Pontiff.

In 2011, Garan plans to bring another relic of the saint with him on a mission to the international space station.

According to L’Osservatore Romano, the idea of bringing “a relic came to fruition because of his spiritual bond with the Carmelites of New Caney, Texas.”

Coming to Ireland was clearly only a warm up.

He can give God the relic if he comes across him in space. Let's hope it's genuine and not one of the zillions of fakes that the gullible faithful have bought down through the centuries.

How can an scientist with a passing knowledge of quantum physics have any faith in a god?

    Does he believe in evolution?

If the earth is 65m years old, how has God being doing since then and why did he wait until 2000
years ago to send his only son?
If the banks are out for a bail,
and Lenny's efforts end up as a fail,
    when the Somer does come,
    to the Country they'll run,
And leave a Fine mess for the Gael.

Endinf the one Party (FF) state:

Because to steal from someone else faith can be the answer to the why and not the how.

Does that mean we dont have to have the damn relics doing the tours around ireland anymore?

    Im all in favour then.
