Gabriel Byrne (and Pat Kenny) canvass for Mannix Flynn on the Late Late Show

Gabriel Byrne is on the Late Late now doing a 'brendan gleeson'. telling people to be anti politics, giving out about our health services, and asking people to vote number 1 for Mannix Flynn in the local elections. was encouraged by Pat Kenny. incredible stuff. awful arrogance for a guy who i presume doesn't pay taxes in ireland. anyway, i'm sure it won't do mannix any harm.

I think he was dead right, he spoke very well and it is a pity that there are not more people with his kind of values running for office.

Yeah, but Mannix is running for Dublin Council, even though he lives in Kerry, on a ticket to do with the abuse he suffered as a child.

    You couldn't make it up.

At least I presume he still gets his Aontas payment, and maybe he expects upon election to be ferried from Farranfore on a daily basis.

Mannix is even more self-obsessed than the rest of them and that is saying something.

I think he was dead right in what he said. Time to take back our country from the assorted gombeens and shoneens who have ran it into the ground.

Yes, Mannix may be right about the assorted gombeens.

So next year when in the Dublin Council when they want to discuss the lighting on Clanbrassil Street or the waterworks in Cabra, Mannix is going to get up and give them all a right theatrical speech about Letterfrack and then hop on the last train to Kerry on his expenses.

    Brilliant for everybody involved.

Absolutely peachy. A real step forward.

Well some gombeens have been voted for, of course. However, more, maybe even the majority, haven't. Our problem isn't just the current Government. It's far more systemic.

It's a pretty amazing abuse of the position late late has that a candidate is referred to by the host as our friend and then a PPB is done live.
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.
