    Swan I think must be very tasty. I tried to rescue a swan once that had electrocuted itself on an overhead ESB wire. The aroma of roasted swan flesh was intoxicating.

    Sad to say, the swan passed away, uneaten, at the local vets.

    Its head was cut off and its innards removed at the scene, but no trace was left of the remainder of the body
    Guess they can rule out suicide.

    I saw about 8 swans in the Tolka recently. And last year a swan gave birth to 6 (I think) baby swans beside the Luke Kelly Bridge in Ballybough. See pictures here:
