Its on this link http://www.reason.com/news/show/30789.html 3rd paragraph says he is a member of the Christian Reconstructionists I am not saying people here who are open about supporting the Ludwig von Mises Institute are total racists. I am saying that given the bizarre, racist views of its founder and its support for Ron Paul who consorts with Neo-Nazis, people should carefully consider this outfit before showing support.

DR, you may be interested in an essay my colleage wrote on the ILF.

He offers up a new definition of conservative which is basically: possession of low time preference.

Works well, IMO. Paul has the most future-orientated stance of any politican in the US. He is always talking about increasing savings and decreasing public debt. Too bad that teenagers and future humans aren't allowed to vote.

And I hope you're not trying to tar anyone with the same brush. The Mises institute is an economics think tank, not a political one. As such it doesn't take any political views.
It's founder and some of its contributors sure take political views and some pretty disquieting ones at that.

Well at the centre of libertarianism stands the non-aggression axiom, so I don't think any of the Misesians advocate murder, stonings and theft.

The Mises Institute was founded by anarchists and has been taken over by Catholics. And if what I know about the Bible is true, it's main message is love for fellow humans.

By the bible you mean the New Testament. The old is pretty violent and loonies like North and his father-in-law Rushdoony believe that every word in the bible has to be believed and should be the law of the land. He's a good mate of Rockwell and other libertarians. The Miseesians should disassociate themselves from such loons and jettison the founder of the institute.

Hence making North a "Reconstructionist" rather than a libertarian/anarchist.

And like I said, the Mises Institute writes economic papers and journals rather than political ones.

He calls himself a Christian economist hence his contributions to Mises. I have no idea what that means but it doesn't sound great.
