New US-Based Site created for Irish Diaspora

O?Dowd launches new website for Irish diaspora | BreakingNews.ie

It will provide multimedia broadcasts with news, sport, entertainment, movies, music, theatre, books and TV, as well as highlighting travel and roots research.

The site has been set up by Niall O'Dowd, the founder of the Irish Voice newspaper and one of the founders of the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform in the United States.

Yes, the lack of any discernible reaction contrasts sharply with the other posts about immigration on this forum.

Well there is a group for this which hopefully makes this possible, I'd rather let descendents with strong genelogical ties back to this country than have it turned into a mess like it is now with the current practise of mass-immigration.

Irony obviously isn't your strong point.

Shows your own narrow-mindedness. Never lived abroad, have you?

You're what D McWilliams in an excellent article in today's Indo dubs a "Little Irelander".

    Narrow-minded insular prig.

Quite right. The Little Irelanders have got us into this mess. The most sophisticated, smartest and indeed most Irish people I have ever met were those who lived abroad for a long period, or indeed were born abroad.
We need to recharge our intellectual and cultural batteries from them, instead of importing people from nonentity countries like Latvia or Botswana and thinking they have a lot to teach us.

And you are right to note the lack of interest in this topic from the Mass Immigrationists. They're Little Irelanders, most have never travelled beyond Anfield.
