    Roy says Goodbye

    Roy has left Sunderland FC.

From his demeanour his mission from Allah has come to a halt.

What are the odds on Dave O'Leary.
Cowardice asks the question - is it safe? Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular? But Conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular;but one must take it simply because it is right. -MLK

Great player but his management style was only going to last so long!! It he had grafters playing for him he would be still in a job!! but instead he has bought in a few players that have big personalities and one would imagine that his style soon wore off on them!! Dressing room not right!! good luck to the man he has been the best Irish player in recent times!! and would have been the best ever in my mine only for Japan and now can sit back with his dog and slippers well unless his quits that too!!

Not the first time he has walked away something.
I'd say they would of given him another month to turn things around if he was up for it.

A man for the big occasion. Walking away from it, that is.

Maybe St Niall will take over temporarily?

Management is for the long haul he should have stuck at it.It took Alex Ferguson a couple of seasons to find his feet at Man Utd, in fact he was nearly sacked in the early days there.

    I don't understand this.

Sunderland were in worse shape at this stage last season, and the way the bottom of the table is set up now, anything could happen.

    Must be dressing room stuff.

Won't do his employment prospects much good.

I agree with the position it was looking worse last year and I think the team is definetly good enough to stay up.
I reckon it has alot to do with Keane not being happy with the new contract being offered.
However, he has spent a lot of money for a less than mid tier club- could possibly turn into a Newcastle if they are not careful.
They need a solid manager in now and the favourite would have to be Big Sam.

Did he not say he was hanging around yesterday though?
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.
