The Islamic headscarf is a symbol of a clash of cultures

Why wearing an Islamic headscarf is a symbol of a clash of cultures
    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/opi ... 7396.html#

In non-Muslim society, most women have become disillusioned. Their attractiveness is limited to their appearance. Commercials have enslaved women. To sell a product you have to show a half-naked woman. Even to advertise a man's razor, you have to use the physical talents of a young beautiful woman.

One of the crucial differences between Muslims and much of society is that the determining source of rights and responsibilities are different; for the former it is Allah and for the latter it is materialism. This is a fundamental difference.

    interesting contrast with this story...

GLAMOUR MODELLING is empowering for women, an Irish glamour model claimed last night.

Speaking to a group of more than 400 students at University College Dublin, glamour model Claire Tully (24) said that "Ireland is still full of religious prudes and an anti-female attitude, something which the church has a lot to answer for".
Well, Claire things are going to get a lot worse!

It was written by Ali Salim who is a weasel of the worst sort. He talks out of the side of his mouth.
"The Egyptians could run to Egypt, the Syrians into Syria. The only place we could run was into the sea, and before we did that we might as well fight.” -Golda Meir

OPINION: Some people object to a Muslim woman wearing a headscarf but they have no problems with nuns - why? asks Ali Selim

ISLAMIC RULES regarding women are not an innovation resulting from a series of developments over time. They date back to the beginnings of Islam. They constitute a particular part of the fundamental sets of rules based on textual foundations laid down during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad. They can be traced in more than one place in the glorious Quran and the prophetic traditions.
Another stupid article by the Irish Times.

Ali Selim* is a running joke and it's about time they understood that we are laughing at them...

Personally....I believe anybody...woman or man...can wear what they like. Even if they choose to go round naked...makes no difference to me! I would suggest, however...since the vast majority of people are not 'aesthetically' pleasing...naked...that they refrain from such practise...'specially round meal times!
On a more serious note....I can't (for the life of me) understand why women (and many, very educated women) would want to go down the road of subjugation voluntarily. Before the zealots respond....what I mean is...surely no religion can insist on women obeying/following/'genuflecting' to men in modern society? Having just recently watched a docu on the mosques in Britain...and their treatment of women....not to mention, what they term 'infidels'....I have to ask...is the whole world gone f***ing mad???

That's right. Within Islam the Arabs are the ubermensch. I wonder how many members of the Council of Imams are non-Arab. Incidentally the Council of Imams came into being just days after Sheikh Satardien revealed what young "Irish" muslims thought of us. The wagons were circled leaving Satardien on the outside. The taqiyya-spouting Selim is one very dangerous customer whose power is growing by the week. Of course that is fine with the Irish Times, a rag that is always available for a bit of islamic propaganda whether from Clonskeagh or from Lara of Arabia.

Islam has no place in Ireland.

Sure you can come here and live your lives but your child will grow up Irish. They have a choice. I spent 15 years living in England , let me advise you.... rather than tell you....your children will reject all our known religion, Thats a fact. They live in a country without fear and are free to make up their own minds,

Respect their choice. They carry your name and are the next Generation.

The Zionist Neo-Cons' "clash of civilizations" is an artificially constructed struggle to pit the so-called Christian West against the Islamic states and peoples.

More info on the author of controversial cartoons printed in Danish newspaper.

Claire Tully. Just another feminist stripper raging against ordered society.
Marxists, Feminists and Leftists operate on the basis of "liberating tolerance" - i.e. their ideas should be tolerated, and any opposition should be suppressed.
