Is this confirmed? God Rest Him, if true. He had the voice of an angel. If an angel sounds like a cornkrake, that is.

    RIP.

ah crap. i was kinda hoping this was wrong.

can a mod delete the thread i started please?

from what ive been told he passed away this morning but like others im finding it hard to get concrete info as there's nothing on the news sites yet . i dont usually post on rumours but the bloke i got the heads up from is fairly reliable. its a terrible loss if you ask me. fantastic musician and a consumate professional who could regale you with stories till the cows came home. i mean hell if anyone could personify culture and community it'd be the dubliners so its only fitting he gets a thread here.

they truly dont make em like ronnie anymore. RIP.

Thought he was a terrible, terrible singer to be honest. But RIP.
