Now that the GAA has elected Christy Cooney as it's President-elect, thoughts turn to the next election, which is scheduled for 2011.
It will be interesting to see who the likely candidates will be then. As of now, at least three front runners come to mind for this post. They are former Kerry Chairman Sean Walsh, Laois's Pat Delaney, who was runner-up this time round, and Ulster's Michael Greenan.
Greenan's candidacy would spark a lot of interest given his negative coments over the opening up of Croke Park. As of now, the race would almost certainly appear to be between Sean Walsh and Pat Delaney
