Is this the one where Gerry Kelly, formerly of PIRA (probably still a member), currently of SF, shot a prisoner officer in the head?

I'll bet Liam Neeson has an eye on the role ...

Adams will be played by someone who was never an actor.

Sinn Fein should offer Gerry Adams the Leading Role !

Firstly, He could Pretend to be in the IRA and secondly Sinn Fein could move him on to Hollywood . Lets face it there is no other way that they can get rid of him.

We've had films about Bloody Sunday (rather a good one in fact), the Guildford Four, Billy 'Slimfast' Sands and now one about this escape of a bunch of terrorists.
I'm still waiting on a film about La Mon, Enniskillen, Teebane, Bloody Friday or Warrington, and that's just for starters.

Whataboutery? Possibly, but sometimes "it's your only man"!

I read the book about 20 years ago, "Out of the Maze".
Fascinating book it must be said.
A lot of these projects however fail to materialise after a few months.
There was talk a few years ago of a movie based on the life of Francis Hughes starring Colin Farrell as Hughes.
Farrell had no idea about this rumour and was quite blunt in his refusal to play Hughes.
His views below on Hughes were quite emphatic.

It would be disrespectful to Francis Hughes's memory to have a lowlife like Farrell depict him in a film, in fairness.

We should be thankful it went nowhere.
