Windsor Park not up to scratch

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/nort...nd/7032434.stm

With minority sports finding it hard to exist this is a crippling blow for garrison games and I feel deeply for them.

Is this the last straw for the NI team playing at Windsor?

Should GAA save the IFA and offer Casement for their games?

Should FAI do the decent thing and offer their ground (is it open? do not keep up with garrison games)

Or should they just give up and go into an all-Ireland team and give the D4 and other West Brits a treat?

Hurry up with the Maze stadium is the correct answer here.

    two errors in that:-

soccer / thugball is hardly a minority sport now is it ?

also everyone knows us D4 (W4) west brit, paddy haters only consider rugby as a valid sport to reflect our social standing and not soccer as lets be honest its far to common

if you're referring to football as a minority game
for referring to football as a garrison game

9,000 capacity? it would appear so, if they harbour any financial ambitions

Should GAA save the IFA and offer Casement for their games?
Now that would be very interesting. Is it up to UEFA standards? If not they could play the Brandywell. Now that would be very very interesting. Most obvious one is Ibrox - especially if it's temporary. Bear in mind that after January, they own't have a competitive game until sept 08

Should FAI do the decent thing and offer their ground (is it open? do not keep up with garrison games)
jaysus, even the thickest "bogballer" would know if Lansdowne had been finished!!!

Or should they just give up and go into an all-Ireland team and give the D4 and other West Brits a treat?
Nah we'd lose our European places. To play an international game in far flung nations is both a privilege and a duty which will never burden the parochial GAA, and is not something I expect you to understand

meh! responding in kind is more fun
We need to radically change every system that has enabled the wholesale destruction of the Irish landscape, rural and urban. There is no time for incremental step by step measures. The systems have failed utterly and the only hope for a real recovery requires the rule book to be torn up completely.
