Kilkenny v Wexford and Waterford v Cork- your views...

    Hi all,

Having imposed on other threads for long enough p1ssing off everyone i thought it time to open a thread about this weekends Hurling feast in Croker.

How much are they charging in?

Who do ye think will shade it? Im going for a KK win with about 8 points to spare.

Really believe the Rebels missed their chance of an upset. I don't even think they realise it would have been an upset had they won! God bless their belief! Half the battle for sure.

If Waterford can get a decent free taker(kelly is missing far too many) they should win by 4-5 points.

    Any thoughts?

Interesting, haven't been to the bookies yet are there any spread bets available? I'd go for KK by 6 and Waterford by 2

All Cork have to do is tighten defence and find a centre forward before Sunday. Sounds easy doesnt it?
Cork have enough class to finish off Waterford. It doesnt matter though, because whoever wins between Cork & Waterford will have several types of sh1t hammered out of them by Limerick. Limerick will still loose but will pull on hands , heads and legs.
The Duopoly to continue but Kilkenny to win All Ireland again , simply because they'd have played one tough game before reaching final and that was Galway.

Sorry Waterford but Cork egos will rise to put you down again.

Kilkenny will be fresher and will only have to peak in September.
Cowardice asks the question - is it safe? Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular? But Conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular;but one must take it simply because it is right. -MLK

Too many thoughts, but you'll keep me up all night discussing it.
As I said earlier on another thread, KK to cruise it, and WD to shade it if Ken McGrath can scope in on target with free's.

Right it was Mcgrath who was taking and missing quite a few last week. My Waterford buddy is having kittens over this match. I just wish Waterford had more confidence in themselves, and the savagery to crush an opponent when they are down and not allowing them claw back into it.

I cannot remember a game for many years where KK have surrendered a five point lead to any opponent. How do they keep that focus?

Will many hurling fans from Antrim come down on the day?

i say kilkenny to win in a game that will be a lot closer than many expect.
5 point winning margin i predict.

as for the replayed quater final. i would love to see waterford win but they seem to just fade in and out of games on regular basis. eg. scoring 1-3 in 3 minutes and then going 10 minutes without scoring. i say cork by 3 points.

James McGarry for KK to be the star of the day. As Babs has just said on RTE 2 " They have 20 players to fill 15 positiions "
As for Antrim fans travelling to see how it's done, we'll stay at home and watch in awe.
