i think the local support/reaction between Katie Taylor's Bray couldn't be in starker contrast to John Joe Nevin's Mullingar.

He specifically mentioned that he'd hope there'd be no trouble at home (in reference to the fact that he is Traveller).
Where are the outside broadcasts of Mullingar with local representatives etc?????

I think its a bloody disgrace that someone who has earned the right to represent Ireland, and has already secured a Bronze, gets next to no coverage at home. One can assume its down to his heritage.

On BBC NI, there are pictures and clips of the support the two NI boxers (representing Team Ireland).

It does seem that sports men and women from NI are going to win more medals than from ROI!
