The OO have never attempted or asked to march down the Falls Road. So if Sync had been born on the Falls Road, then he could happily ignore the OO. That is unless he wished to travel to some other area for the purpose of being offended.

Exactly, and well said. Cue predictable howls of complaint from those with nothing better to do with their lives than working themselves up into a frenzy about coloured pieces of cloth.

Unfortunately it doesn't end there, does it? These 'celebrations' are expressions of ignorance and hatred. We can ignore them and reap the consequences or we can say that such things are not acceptable in our society.

Are those seeking to offend (a) overjoyed or (b) disappointed when they succeed in offending?

    What do you reckon?

Delusional to want a border poll?

Delusional to accept that every NI poll consistently shows support for a UI to be very low?

Delusional to suppose that people will vote for whatever they feel is in their own best interests?

Or delusional to notice that your optimistic figure of 32% is still hopelessly short of the 50 + 1 required?

It's not the degree of offence caused that matters - it's the degree of wishing to cause offence, which is indicative of the underlying hatred.

Something about your posts smell of KeithAFC, have you no other hobbies that trolling irish sites.

Burning Irish flags needs to be classed as incitment to hatred. We need to be treating the sectarian hate in NI the same way as hate against Muslims or Jews isn't tollerated in England.

They burn the Irish flag because they are unhappy and uncertain over their own identity. Maybe they believe that eventually, if they burn enough tri-colours they will reach the point of critical mass, and actually be British, as opposed to just Britains foreign subjects.

Oddly though their 'anti-all things Irish' streak is what sets them apart, not from the Irish, but the mainland British. Sad really.

Knackers atop a bonfire. Pity they didn't break some bones climbing down from it.

The Irish government should lodge a formal protest over the blatant disregard for our national flag. Imagine if union flags were burnt across the Republic during St. Patrick's Day. Disgusting behaviour from the dregs of society.

Posters, please feel free to post your own pics of Irish flags being burnt.
Looks a bit like a percent for art scheme portfolio.
