Yep - of course we have a lots of posters who use it against me because they think it means rendering people infertile as opposed to cleaning out corruption and filth. Or something.....

Actually, it doesn't really mean anything, I just like the sound of it.

Most states have a certain amount of Fascism. When a Government is voted in, they can decide pretty much what they want if there is a small or docile opposition.

I mean Our Government could decide to run a motorway through....... Oh yeh!!!!

It wouldn't be wildly implausible to think that the pyramids may not be just a part of Egyptian culture.

This is tangential I'm afraid, you said his work influenced politicians in relation to social justice and yet any cursory glance at US income inequality and poverty rates show clearly he didn't or was flatly ignored. The situation got worse and continues to get worse. This is what happens when political aspiration runs slap bang into political reality.

You might like to sit and ponder at what his work and get a warm fuzzy feeling inside that you have been intellectually reinforced in your opinions but it means SFA to those at the coalface. Most politicians and policy makers would never have heard of him.

No, when you get out of the classroom, we can talk then. You're just waxing lyrical on theory completely oblivious to the practical applications, if any.

It's a mistake to think that if people are being persecuted and suffering that others would worry about their religion, they are people first and don't deserve to suffer because of religion or politics no matter what they are.
