You can change your kindle settings so that you buy books from the UK Amazon store. Go to Amazon.com and at bottom of page go to manage my kindle, on the left of the page under 'Your Kindle Account' click on country settings and change Your country from Ireland to UK which will allow you to purchase through the UK store.

The ability to change between the sites is useful as there are sometimes price differences between the books, also where a book is published in one country and not the other.

In this day and age, many will view that as a positive.

Tesco has an offer at the moment: any 3 of Charles Dickens (and well as Emily Bronte some others) novels for 6. That's 3 books for 6.

Part of me thinks that's and for book shops, but another part of me thinks that it might encourage people to buy and read those classics and that they might ultimately end up visiting book shops in the future.

'Little Brother' watches Big Brother, with our zoom lenses, phone and video cameras, and all the other devices available to Joe Soap...an extremely slippery customer.
