There is also the majestic Dame Edna. The genius (he is a dadaist, after all) creator Barry Humphries most definately didn't hate women, as he married four times.

I wouldn't describe Dame Edna as a drag queen at all - Barry humphries did other characters. By drag queens I mean those idiot/s who "act" in the George and are as funny as cancer. I think one of those jokers used to do Telly Bingo

Not many drag queens go around in drag all of the time. Like everything in life, there are good drag queens and there are bad drag queens. Dame Edna was an exceptionally good drag queen.

I think Gay Pride is good in Moscow, Belgrade, Kiev or other homophobic spots, where gays feel isolated.
But in London, Berlin, San Francisco etc it's degenerated into exhibitionism, voyeurism and is just plain tacky.
Like the young teenage couple on the beach, who insist on snogging in front of you, when all you want to see is the sun setting.
