I thought it was stabbing rather than strangling that was fashionable in Limerick?

It's interesting that Lucinda Creighton is one of the most openly socially conservative FG TDs and yet her constituency is the very liberal DSE

exactly. The OP is, at best, clutching at straws.

im sure thier are plenty of social conservatives in DSE , the constituency is first and foremost wealthy , combining wealthy liberals ( RTE types ) and conservatives

Irish bible belt? Out west don't they have pilgrimages and stuff down there? And stop suggesting north Antrim. You obviously haven't a clue what your talking about. A bible belt is an area with a high church attendance! North Antrim is conservative but it does not have a very high church attendance, most people I bet don't goto church. Try the arch pinsula there will be a higher percentage there. North Antrim is not what you think it is. These sterotypes are getting annoying at this stage.

Limerick is actually a very nice city, especially when compared to Dublin. And Limerick also has a well above average number of attractive ladies.

As far as I know, Church attendance for free presys is actually exceptionally high. Also there is no strict definitiion of "bible belt" whether it means Christian inspired social conservatism or high church attendance is debatable, so there's no need to be dismissive Debbie about it.
