Yes, I can envisage Baron Northfield’s acceptance speech when he is elected Taoiseach. It would begin “A cairde agus colleagues, tá me well pleased agus bróduíl to be Taoiseach ……

That alone would be just cause for a civil war.

Ya, you're dead right EVM, I don't really want to have to kill Irish people, or hurt them with pitchforks either.

Silly old me, I was having a moment there.

Pint pouring competition instead? Whoever pours the best pint wins Ireland?

There's a better chance of aliens landing than a Civil War happening here. We'll go marching into whatever EU superstate that's on the cards without a whimper. It won't be out of any sense of maturity, it'll just be down to a political class that want it and a public that don't want it but are afraid of the possible financial consequences of saying no. A gelded nation of consumers, that's our future.

Tax up because of Decembers late corporate tax.
Unemployment down due to mass emmigration due to government policies.
Bond rates 'down' because of Greece and not FG.

    Good Job.

Still over 14% unemployed......not exactly the time to be saying "We've turned a corner", is it?
Also, SF would be a lot more popular than it is now, if not for it's "history". We need a new party in Ireland.
I'm 16. I despise every current Irish party, except the SDLP and the Alliance(I support neither). Economic Left/Right:-5.12 - Social Libertarian/Authoritarian:-0.36
