Watched it with my kids, including the interviews with them, absolutely stunning stuff, a great bunch of young people, really uplifting in so many ways, their joy, their beauty, their dedication, their skill, their humility, WOW. The clip you show here is their first audition, amazingly they did even better tonight and deservedly made the final.

I think the name is meant to be a play on "prodigy" and "jig", but that's just my guess.

When I saw them, they said they were English-Irish ... some of the members are not Irish.

I have a niece who had a Mauritian father and a Portuguese mother and she loves Irish dancing.

Irish dancing to pop music just blew me away.
