This is the kind of hysterical knee-jerk reaction I talking about.
New born babies do not drink tap water. They drink milk. Invariably from their Mother's breast.
To suggest that these babies died from tap water infection is ridiculous. They didn't drink the water or go anywhere near the taps. Germs may have been found on the tap valve, and passed from there, but they could easily exist on doorknobs, the keyboard you are currently using, or the money in your pocket.
If the World's population of 7 billion were all to adopt your approach, we'd be inundated with up to 100 billions plastic bottles per week.
Think about that.
If Western Governments want us to cut back on refuse, they must,
A. Make tap water as potable and healthy as possible.
b. Re-educate our youth on water usage and through commercials point out the negatives of constant reliance of bottled water, and smash the urban myths regarding household water.
Just 1 gramme of cocaine destroys 4m2 of tropical jungle. Give it up ya selfish b'stards.
