I've got canines for a reason. Humans are Omnivorous. I like cow juice and it's derivatives. I like cow. I like my greens. I am all for ethical treatment but at the end of the day they are dinner. If they were not dinner there would be no cows left. They would become extinct. Give them a comfortable life and a painless death then carve em up and barbecue them.
Want to see real cannine teeth - look at a gorilla. Cannine teeth are sometimes for show and ours are so pathetic anyway.

You think you and your cannines can go up to a cow and take a bite? Try it and you'll see what a useless meat eater we are.

All this apart from the ethics of killing others when there is no need.

I recommend that you get weaned and join the adult world.

We are not arguing about what is or is not "lovely" - we are talking about what's right and what's wrong.

We cannot decide on ethical issues based on what individuals find to be "lovely."

That's why we evolved our brains ros. We invented spears and such. Tell me if you have trouble opening your bag of tofu with your puny canines do you just give up and complain about your rickets or do you use your opposable thumbs and get a knife from your drawer?

I'm glad you mentioned gorrilas. They are omnivorous too. For a bonus point can you name a vegan ape? Or any vegan animal that has opposible thumbs and relatively high intelligence?

I've dabbled, but it's like not wanting to be labelled as atheist cos Dawkins is such an intolerant man at times, vegans can be very evangelical and hard to stomach.

You are going to tell me that gorillas are omnivorous because there are a few insects on the plants they eat, right? Or that, rarely, they'll consume termites?

I can name a vegan ape - me!

Gorillas are overwhelmingly herbivores and we can be herbivores too.

My 77 year old vegan mother (of about 30 years vegan) started eating meat last year as her health was being affected! She now eats certain meats, including rabbit which I shot for her!

Vegan ism is a crock of ************************e! Meat eating and eating animal produce such as meats and eggs is perfectly naturally, what is in unnatural and inhumane is he way we manufacture our meat, eggs milk etc!

Well, I'm sure that's true. Some people can be poor educators and poor communicators. I'm sure we all do things we regret and wish we could do again.

I think the issue for vegans is driven by the fact that they are trying to end real and systemic harm.

You seems to be confusing chimpanzees and gorillas.

As someone who would be considered to have a mainly ethical relativist outlook, can you explain to me why eating meat is "wrong"? i have strong empathy for other human beings, that empathy being stronger for family members but this, nonetheless shapes my own morality and conduct towards other human beings. I also have a degree of empathy for non-humans, particularly more social animals like primates, dogs and cats etc and would be strongly in favour of humane conduct when dealing with livestock.

Different people follow different ethical constructs for varying reasons, and im curious to know your position on a particular issue which i believe to be very relevant in gauging ones relative notion of morality.
Im not religious and have no particularly strong feelings on the issue, but what is your position on the abortion of human fetuses? it seems most leftist leaning animal rights types are very liberal on this issue.
