    Tipp v Limerick Hurling

Unfortunately, I did not get to see that cracker between Limerick and Tipp last night, as I was winging my way homewards, but I beleive that it was a real 'clinker. Well done, Tipp, Well done, Limerick.

Also, did anyone see the Cork-Waterford match today? I was listening to it on the radio on the way home from Cork and it was another clinker.

The Munster Council must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Yes, Cork with three of the back seven suspended, shipped 5-15.
Waterford joined in the spirit of the thing, and conceded 3-18.
Many of the scores were absolute crackers it has to be said, not just defenders going awol.
Today's match will harm neither county - I'd love to see them go at it again in September. The Cats might have something to say about that though.

A Kerryman told me Tyrone were awesome earlier - I couldn't believe the scoreline.

Dublin-Meath from what I saw was very entertaining, but not at "top table" level.

    Tyrone were superb.
I say that as a big fan of Ulster teams anyway, but they kicked for fun.
    One to watch.

Was planning to go to Thurles yesterday but Dubs replay forced a change of plan. Only saw the highlights but it clearly lived up to expectations and the two counties concerned have produced probably 3 or 4 of the best games of the last 30 years since 2004. Would love to see Waterford win the All Ireland.

Tipp Limerick was good game and Tipp clearly showing the signs of having too many players not up to lasting the pace.

Hard to know how good Tyrone were as Donegal's old failings remerged after the disallowed goal and the penalty. Showed they don't have what it takes to compete at the highest level and that the league is almost irrelevant against the top class teams. Meath, Mayo and one or two others will put them out if they get them in the qualifiers.

Dublin were never really in trouble against Meath despite most of the forwards having average to poor days at the office. Could just have easily won by 14 as four. Vaughan was excellent and if he maintains that consistency will bring a new dimension to Dublin's challenge for the AI. Teams with free takers who are dangerous anywhere within 50 metres pose a huge threat to defences.

I was at the game in Thurles and it was a cracker. Great atmosphere and gool old friendly banter between both sets of supporters. Waterford played out of their skins and Cork in fairness never gave up. The Rock was a huge loss as was Donal Og and Sean Og. All in all I would not begrudge The Deices a well earned victory but beware......WE'LL BE BACK.

Who have Cork got in the first round of the qualifiers Eirenua? Think it might be the losers of Tipp/Limerick. It's scheduled for June 30 so that would promise to be another classic.

The Draw for the Qualifiers has'nt been made yet, but there will be no easy games left. If Cork don't make it then I would love to see Waterford go on and win the All-Ireland.

The draw for the qualifiers has been made. Cork have to play Dublin in Parnell Park on June 30.

Their other games are against Tipp/Limerick and Offaly.

Fantastic stuff- great weekend for hurling. Kilkenny forwards must be licking their lips, though.
